Shaun Breakspear
Owner and Principal Optometrist
Shaun Breakspear graduated as an optometrist with first class honours in 2002. He has extensive experience in both corporate optometry and private practice. Shaun has a particular interest in children’s vision and the fitting of contact lenses as a supplement or alternative to spectacles.
A Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics enables him to prescribe eye drops such as antibiotics and steroids to treat a range of ocular infections and eye diseases. Because of this, he works closely with many of the local General Practitioners who refer their patients to him for secondary care.
Shaun has a passion for providing his patients with personalised service and the latest developments in optical technology. He is a current member of the Optometrists Association of Australia and the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia.
Asimina Patrick
Optometrist
Asimina Patrick graduated in 2002, and worked in various OPSM stores before becoming Principal Optometrist at OPSM Cleveland.
Since becoming a mother to two boys, Asimina has worked in a number of corporate and independent practices as a locum, and now holds a permanent role at Eyefix Optometrists where she works Mondays.
She is very gentle natured, and always ensures that her patients receive the very best eye care.
Jan gardiner
Optical Dispenser
Jan began working in the optical industry in 1996, commencing work with OPSM.
Jan is a qualified Optical Dispenser and has extensive experience in the admin, retail, lens fitting and manufacturing aspects of optometry. Jan assists Shaun with handpicking the stores range of eyewear and helps our patients choose frames they love and feel confident wearing.
A Bayside local, Jan brings to Eyefix years of optical experience and provides our patients with personalised and friendly service.
Nicole Hobbs
Optical Dispenser
Nicole worked in a variety of customer service roles in the jewellery and hospitality sectors before joining our team.
Nicole is the mother of two primary school boys, and especially loves helping our younger patients find the perfect eyewear for their needs. She has recently completed her Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing to enhance her knowledge of vision solutions and practice management.
